SIP (“Session Initiation Protocol”) Trunking is a version of VoIP, specifically designed to make and deliver phone calls using an internet connection instead of a traditional phone line.  Comparatively, Hosted PBX, (a PBX in the cloud that is used as a service in place of a premise PBX) is another version of VoIP.

This Over-The-Top (OTT) service uses the internet connection you're already paying for to transmit voice between your office and our data center where it is then passed off to the public telephone network.  This cuts out local loops and dedicated lines which leads to substantial savings over traditional telephone services.
